In the nutrition business, purity is key to profitability. But filter aids can be costly to buy, handle, and dispose of. And the yield losses are often significant. So when one Thailand- based company approached ANDRITZ about a new filter press technology for their 150-year-old wellness product, we proposed a better solution.
Challenge:
Upgrade from traditional filter presses and ensure a more modern way to filter out small impurities more efficiently, without the use of costly filter aids.
Our solution:
Nine fully automatic DCF units with reusable ceramic filters and CIP cleaning, including all control systems, valves, sensors and software/automation programming for two production plants.
Results:
Fully automated solution for clearer liquid product with higher product yield, no consumable costs and lower OPEX.
