Accessibility statement
Statement on the activities to improve accessibility on www.andritz.com
Commitment to accessibility
ANDRITZ is committed to improving the accessibility of our public corporate website, www.andritz.com. We recognize the importance of digital accessibility and are taking steps to enhance the user experience for all visitors, including those with disabilities. Our goal is to ensure that our website meets international accessibility standards and provides an inclusive digital experience.
Approach to accessibility
To guide our accessibility improvements, we follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) framework. We are using WCAG 2.1 as the foundation for analyzing, testing, and improving the accessibility of our website. Our long-term aim is to achieve AA-level compliance, with a current target of passing at least 50% of the 50 success criteria by the end of 2026 (based on scoped testing content).
Testing and evaluation
To assess and enhance accessibility, ANDRITZ has conducted both automated and manual testing in collaboration with an external accessibility vendor. These evaluations include:
- Testing with screen readers, such as NVDA and JAWS, to ensure compatibility with assistive technologies.
- Utilizing a W3-reporting system for internal tracking and improvements (detailed reporting results are not publicly shared by company decision).
- Reviewing key accessibility aspects such as website structure, navigation, color contrast, and alternative text for images.
Ongoing improvements
ANDRITZ has integrated accessibility considerations into our continuous website development activities. These efforts include:
- Technical website development updates to improve compliance with accessibility standards.
- Enhancing UX design with accessibility principles in mind.
- Providing training and education on accessibility for relevant internal teams.
- Ensuring that new web features introduced from 2024 onward undergo enhanced accessibility evaluation processes.
- Reviewing and improving the accessibility of marketing assets.
Governance and accountability
ANDRITZ has appointed an accessibility contact within the Group Marketing and Communications department to oversee accessibility initiatives for www.andritz.com website. Additionally, accessibility topics related to andritz.com but also other digital marketing platforms and domains, are reviewed on a regular basis in internal cross-functional meetings to ensure continued progress and accountability.
Future commitments
As part of our accessibility plan, ANDRITZ has decided to publish this Accessibility Statement online starting in 2025. We are committed to ongoing improvements and will update this statement as our accessibility initiatives evolve.
