ANDRITZ to supply new lacquering line to ElvalHalcor, Greece
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from ElvalHalcor to supply and install a new lacquering line (# 2) at Elval, the aluminum rolling division of ElvalHalcor Oinofyta, Greece.
The new line is part of a large investment to significantly increase the plant’s lacquering capacity. The new lacquering line, operating at 200 m/min and capable of producing 2,050 mm wide aluminum coils, will enhance Elval’s production capacity to meet the increased market needs.
The ANDRITZ scope of supplies and services comprises the lacquering line, including the cleaning section, mechanical equipment for strip transport, tension leveler, coaters (chemicals and lacquer), side trimmer, oiler, the full electrics and automation package, and start-up of the plant.
ANDRITZ’s outstanding reference for automotive aluminum processing lines and the reference of lacquering line (# 1) at Elval were decisive for the order award to ANDRITZ.
ElvalHalcor S.A. is a leading, global, industrial producer of aluminum and copper. The company was formed in December 2017 when Elval, a leading European aluminum rolling company founded in Greece in 1973, merged with Halcor, the largest copper tube producer in Europe.
