ANDRITZ to supply new flue gas cleaning equipment and to modernize boiler for Jyväskylä Energy Group, Finland

2014/06/03

International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Jyväskylä Energy Group to deliver new flue gas cleaning equipment and upgrade the bubbling fluidized bed boiler at the Rauhalahti site, Finland.

With this investment, the site will fulfil the strict environmental protection standards set by the European Union’s Industrial Emissions Directive becoming effective in 2016. Start-up is scheduled for the third quarter of 2015.

The innovative ANDRITZ flue gas cleaning technology is based on the combination of electrostatic precipitator and flue gas scrubber. The focus of this investment is specifically on increasing energy efficiency and utilization of the heat flows from the flue gas scrubber; for example, the plant buildings will be heated by waste heat from the condensate.
