PrimeForm former for tissue machines
ANDRITZ tissue machines provide solutions for all requirements in tissue production.
The PrimeForm formers are designed to achieve the highest dewatering capacity and generate a uniform paper web with the best possible formation.
CrescentFormer
The CrescentFormer is of a compact design with high dewatering capacity. The white water flow out of the former is controlled by specially arranged guide vanes and the high energy within the jet is only broken down outside the tissue machine in a calming cyclone. This generates less mist inside the machine to minimize disturbances. This, together with specially located screens, keeps the machine area clean, providing an operator-friendly environment with good accessibility and cleanliness. The frame is stainless steel clad and is fully cantilevered for fast and easy wire changes.
Wire and felt cleaning
Effective wire cleaning is ensured by a high pressure needle shower from the outside and a HP fan shower from the inside. The felt run is equipped with an optimal felt conditioning system, consisting mainly of high pressure and flooded nip showers, as well as one or two suction boxes.
PrimePickUp
The CrescentFormer uses a single slot suction tube to ensure a positive and "pinhole-free" transfer of the tissue sheet at the wire/felt separation point, even at very high speeds. This contributes to a homogenous sheet over the entire width and improves machine runability.
C-Wrap former
The C-Wrap former is a twin-wire arrangement that today is commonly associated with Through Air Drying (TAD). The former is designed for use with both plain and suction forming rolls. It has the highest potential dewatering capacity possible. Strategically located showering and mist control screens ensure an operator-friendly environment with good accessibility and cleanliness. The frame is stainless steel clad and is fully cantilevered for fast and easy wire changes.
