In Brazil, ANDRITZ is present in the city of Pomerode, Santa Catarina, with one of its business areas, ANDRITZ Separation. The unit has been present in the city since 2004 with the acquisition of Netzsch Filtration, has an area of 46 thousand m² and more than 200 employees.
With an area of 465 m², the laboratory has pilot filters of various sizes to study the parameters needed to dimension and optimize the performance of equipment on an industrial scale. We carry out tests that include the characterization of samples and simulations of the filtration process at different scales to choose the best solution.
ANDRITZ in Pomerode has been constantly working on the development, design and production processes of filter cloths. Laser cutting and waterproofing equipment are considered standard in the tarpaulin production process.
