ANDRITZ Herr-Voss Stamco Inc. successfully starts up cut-to-length line supplied to Coast Aluminum, Kent, WA, USA
ANDRITZ Herr-Voss Stamco Inc., a member of international technology Group ANDRITZ, has successfully started up a new state-of-the-art cut-to-length line at Coast Aluminum, for their facility in Kent, WA.
The line processes 0.25” x 72” wide stainless steel and aluminum and has an incoming coil capacity of 20,000 lbs.
The backbone of the line is ANDRITZ Herr-Voss Stamco Inc.’s industry-leading precision roller-leveler technology. The line includes a heavy-gauge Precision Leveler® as well as a light-gauge Precision Leveler®, both with the Punch-N-Go® leveler control system. The equipment is designed to meet Coast Aluminum’s specific product requirements.
The cut-to-length line includes ANDRITZ Herr-Voss Stamco’s proprietary electro-discharge texturing (EDT) precision roll feed system, coupled with a high-speed shear that can cut both long and short blanks with high efficiency and extreme accuracy. The line also allows for the application of paper or vinyl to the leveled material.
