ANDRITZ to supply complete mechanical pulping line to Guangdong Guanhao High-Tech mill in China

Zhao Guohong, Deputy General Manager of Guangdong Guanhao and Chief Project Director of Zhanjiang China Paper, says: “Our dependence on market chemi-mechanical pulp has led to certain limitations in our high-end white cardboard production. The new line from ANDRITZ will enable us to produce our own pulp, reducing raw material risks and enhancing competitiveness.”

The new P-RC APMP (Pre-Conditioning Refiner Chemical Alkaline Peroxide Mechanical Pulp) line, with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons, will produce high-quality pulp for premium white cardboard. ANDRITZ will supply the complete line, including systems for wood chip washing, impregnation, high-consistency refining, bleaching, washing, low-consistency refining, screening, and rejects treatment. ANDRITZ will also provide the installation supervision, commissioning, start-up, and training.

The line combines high-quality pulp production with minimal energy consumption and environmental impact based on the following key equipment:

• PrimeMSD Impressafiner for wood chip maceration enabling optimum chemical impregnation
• TX68 HC refiner ensuring optimal refining efficiency for maintaining stable pulp quality
• Compact Press units for high outlet dryness and superior washing efficiency after bleaching
• PrimeScreen X screens for top energy efficiency and screening performance
• Two PrimeFilter D disc filters ensuring advanced thickening and best fiber recovery

Guangdong Guanhao High-Tech Co., Ltd., the parent company of Zhanjiang China Paper Co., Ltd., is a leading Chinese manufacturer of white cardboard, carbonless copy paper, thermal paper, and other specialty papers. The new project extends ANDRITZ's long-term cooperation with Guangdong Guanhao High-Tech’s parent company China Paper Investment Co., Ltd., a leader in China's paper industry.
