Compact solutions for receiving and handling various biomass materials
Cost-effective production of energy biomass is very much dependent on efficient handling of available biomass sources, as well as the efficiency of each process. An important, but often overlooked, area is the efficient receiving of different types and different capacities of biomass as it enters the plant and then conveying this material to the production equipment. In many cases, the space available for biomass handling is limited.
Complete systems or specific equipment – ANDRITZ has the solution
ANDRITZ offers complete solutions for receiving, storing, and conveying biomass for energy production. The scope of supply can vary from complete plants to individual equipment delivery. ANDRITZ is very experienced in project management, ensuring deliveries that are on-time and on-budget, and produce excellent economic results for energy producers.
Biomass receiving systems
ANDRITZ designs receiving systems for different types of biomass and in different configurations. Receiving equipment is available for back-tipping, self-unloading, and side-tipping trucks or rail cars. Loading with a front loader is also possible.
Receiving equipment can be installed in a pit or at ground level. The size and volume of the receiving pocket can be suited to vehicle volumes or turn-around times. The receiving pit can be used as small buffer storage or as an emergency or mixing pocket.
