Rotary drum filters

In general, a rotary drum filter is one of the most common used filters applied in the chemical process industry. It consists of a drum which immerse into a trough filled with slurry and by applying a differential pressure it forms a cake. The cake can be washed easily on drum filters.

Following the acquisition of KHD-Filtrationstechnik, BIRD and KMPT continuous further development work with close to 2500 drum filters supplied, ANDRITZ can also draw on extensive filtration know-how in this sector.
